About me

Before working in psychiatry, I spent much of my early adult life in military medicine, where clear thinking under pressure wasn’t optional. That background still shapes how I practice today. I value structure, accountability, and decisions grounded in evidence rather than guesswork—especially when someone is already overwhelmed or exhausted.

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing outpatient psychiatric care for adolescents and adults ages 13–80. I frequently work with high-functioning individuals who feel chronically on edge, mentally worn down, or frustrated by years of trial-and-error treatment. Many have tried therapy, medications, or both, without ever receiving a clear explanation of what is driving their symptoms.

My approach emphasizes careful assessment, diagnostic clarity, and thoughtful medication management. I take a deliberate, measured approach to treatment, focusing on stability, tolerability, and real-world functioning rather than rapid or reactive changes. I aim to help patients understand why a treatment plan makes sense—not just what they are taking.

I provide psychiatric services through Mindful Essence Psychiatry, where all scheduling, billing, and clinical care are coordinated. This website is intended to offer general professional information about my background and clinical approach.
